My master's thesis was a complex task of researching the monumental tower in Stołpie, attempting to reconstruct its original appearance and designing a modern space to preserve the monument and allow for the education of the tourists willing to visit the venue.
The monumental tower was located in the area belonging to Cherven Grods, a territory disputed by the Kingdom of Poland and the Kievan Rus.' The tower itself is thought to date back to the XIIth century and is one of the eldest objects of this kind in the area. Due to its old age and long-lasting neglect the tower is left in poor state and requires conservation and preservation from further ruin. Furthermore, the monument has been forgotten even by the locals, and the surrounding area lack the venue and infrastructure to allow for a proper place to share its history and house any related items, the visitors and their vehicles, as there is no proper public parking lot be found in the area.
The design focuses on several focal points - the preservation and exposition of the monument, researching its history and creating a complex compendium for its past, researching the materials used to erect the tower and create a place to house the visitors, their vehicles, monuments related to the tower and its past, as well as to exhibit a custom made 1:1 reconstruction of the tower and the connecting borough which did not survive to our times.
The museum comprises 4 levels, three of which are placed underground to maintain as low a height of the newly designed building as possible, and to keep the tower's function as a local dominant. The building houses exhibition and research rooms as well as a central area designed to fit in a real-life 1:1 reconstruction of the tower available to be entered by the visitors. The parking area is placed at the lowest level of the building as well as on the ground level, the latter allowing the visits of larger organized groups using touring cars.

My engineer's thesis's main focus was to create a functional home also capable of forming a sort of a sanctuary for an introvert architect, or any introvert creator in need of a solitude from the noisy world waiting outside. The venue is located in a rural area at the northern outskirts of Lublin, Poland, the building lot sloping delicately toward south-east. The building maintains a simple, rectangular shape. The elevation is finished in architectural concrete and the number of the windows in the front and side areas are limited in favour of a set of big windows at the back of the house, overseeing the garden. The brutalistic nature of the house is softened by the use of ivy.
The layout references the personality type of an introvert and culminates around a centrally placed internal atrium housing a greenhouse for small plants. The atrium also serves as a means of admitting more light into the interior. The entrance level houses a spacious open-space kitchen, eating and living with an undisturbed view at the backyard garden, and additional rooms, which include a study, a pantry, a garderobe, a garage and additional rooms for heating and sanitary purposes. The underground level houses four bedrooms with an open view at the garden, a set of cloakrooms and bathrooms placed under the atrium, a laundry room and a library.
